"I found myself trying to lengthen the duration of the flash-frames by overcranking, up to 64fps on the Bolex and 120 fps on the Arri Highspeed, so the flash-frames would bleed into the image. I wanted to use that unique filmic quality that a flash-frame produces for transitions."
